The First Day

Trying to find out what it was that so freaked me out the other day. I guess it was just the overwhelming feeling that so many people in power (Congressmen/Senators) just do not care about how much they allow the Earth to be depleated, destroyed and drained. Add that attitude to increasing (and they are) natural disasters and that's a freak out recipe.
I've always been a person who is able to look objectively at matters of the destruction of the world so why does this strike me as different and more real? It could be just because nothing else has ever happened. We got by 2000 and 2001, 1984 came without the obvious specter of Big Brother (he just showed up later in a different form) so I became colplacent about prophesy. Who wouldn't?
I spent a great deal of time studying (cramming) because I have students who may be on the verge of panic. That didn't help me much. There's still nothing that can be done if something happens.
Just like in the movie, the government would not tell us anything if they knew that a disaster of biblical proportions was about to happen. They would, indeed, covertly try to save people who can afford a trip to something like a space hotel or a trip to space or even a seat on the ark.
It has been estimated by some that the earth is overpopulated and that is a reason for this prophesied disaster. Another theory is that our societies have just become too depraved and greedy for us to exist any longer. Yet another thoery is that the giant planet Nibiru is going to crash into the Earth again. (Yes, again.) And then it might just be nature.
Whatever the reason; I know that I do not have a ticket and I know that nobody's planning to give me or anybody I know a ticket.

It finally happened. I had a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach, so deep that I felt it in my bones...I had the feeling that the end of the world was coming and there was nothing to stop it. I know that it was the earthquakes. They've been so frequent and powerful. The back to back to back Nor'easters haven't helped.
It's obvious to me that Nobody is interested in whether I matter enough to try to do anything about this. The people who have the power to do anything don't want to do anything for anyone but themselves.
I don't know if anybody is reading this, but if by some accident or happenstance you are, please just make a note of some of these signs it won't kill you to check on some things and it will only take a few moments.
1. Is there a correlation between earthquakes and snowstorms?
2. Longitudinal and latitudinal locations of earthquakes since 1984.
3. the number of summer stores and winter storms since 1984.
Answerny questions along these lines and drop me a line.

Nonsense

So, today when I arrived at work I saw that the gate to the parking lot was mangled. I foolishly thought someone was trying to get in, this stroke of absolute brilliance was someone trying to get out.
Somehow these folks got it in their mind that ramming the gate would be a good idea. (Too much TV). And to add stupidity to ignorance they tried to say that their car and the gate was undamaged when they left the previous night.
That has nothing to do with the fact that there was a witness to the event.
This all boils down to having done something violently stupid and probably after abusing substances and trying to blame someone else for the grand and sublime ignorance that was their actions.
You've got to remember when you're driving Mama's car.
