America, we started from a war to own our lands
We had a common goal and a set of plans
we come so far but gone astray
America, who are you today?

Hiding the truth, telling lie after lie
When I think where we come i have to cry
America what are you today?
Politicly correct and divided are we
But propaganda makes so many of us see
exactly what THEY want us to be
Not the truth; it will never pass their lips
And thousands die in battleships
and thousands die on battle fields
And not one can find an answer to yield
America why have you forgotten me?

Yes, I know some people are just soldiers
just grunts with their sacks and weapons on their shoulders
who do what they are told because it was an order
but even they have brains and hearts and minds
and there is a voice inside that one day finds
the question
